A bob is a type of
haircut that is above the shoulders. It can be short, like at the chin
area, shorter at ear level, or long to lie at but not past the
shoulders. It can be cut evenly or at an angle, go with or without
bangs, or worn straight or curled.
If you have spirals, be
careful when cutting your hair short. It would be better to go with a
long bob as your hair can look actually shorter because of the curls
bouncing back in. Also, a short curly bob can actually make your head
look like a triangle which, obviously, nobody wants.
If your face is round,
your bob should be longer than your chin and even reach down to your
neck level to balance the shape of your face. The secret to having a
great curly bob is to incorporate layers into the cut. Layers flatter
the hair, gives it definition, body, and bounce; thus, making it healthy
and gorgeous.
Bangs may also be added,
depending on the features of your face. Some wear bangs in order to hide
some flaws in the face or forehead while some just do it for fun. With
the right cut and length, bangs take off years from one’s face and lend
it an air of youthfulness.
